Priya Pollard is currently a graduate student in the department of Marine Sciences at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. She graduated with upper second class honors major Biology and minor Environmental Biology in a BSc. General at the Department of Life Sciences, University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus. She is now undertaking research towards her MSc. Integrated Coastal and Ocean Management, ICOM, involving marine remote sensing and GIS techniques. Her current project is centered around remotely sensing, mapping and tracking Sargassum sp.
