GeoTechVision
GIS Technician
Georgetown, Guyana
Since my introduction to GIS I have always had growing interests in the applications of the technology while continually being impressed as an advent user. My tenure as the GIS Technician at the Ministry of Public Infrastructure Guyana has given me experience in the design, development, implementation, management and maintenance of a GIS. This has now been further cultivated and transcended at GeoTechVision where knowledge transfer and personal development initiatives are readily fostered. Being tasked with the collection, coordination, management, analysis and dissemination of all the requisite spatial data the consultancy utilizes in the fruition of assigned projects I have witnessed the change from the conventional outputs to application driven end user products. This forms the basis for my presentation on "The use of GIS to provide Real-time Election Mapping for the Caribbean".
